Chinese EQUATOR Centre at 2025 Guideline International Network (GIN) Annual Conference

21 September 2025

Dr. Xuan YU (Research Assistant Professor) and Ms. Yanfang MA (Senior Research Associate), on behalf of the Chinese EQUATOR Centre, attended the Guideline International Network (GIN) Annual Conference from 16 to 19 September 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland. The GIN 2025 theme, “Innovations & Partnerships for Health in All Policies,” addressed critical global health challenges, emphasizing the role of innovation and cross-sector partnerships in driving change and advancing global health and well-being. The conference featured 94 sessions, including five plenaries and 13 workshops, and brought together 516 delegates from 48 countries and regions.

At GIN 2025, Dr. YU delivered three oral presentations: “PREPARE-Registered Practice Guidelines and Consensus Statements in Traditional and Integrative Medicine,” “Reporting Guidance for Stakeholder Engagement in Practice Guidelines: RIGHT-MuSE Checklist,” and “Which Stakeholders Are Engaged and Who Is Overlooked in Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Practice Guidelines? A Scoping Review.” Ms. MA delivered one oral presentation titled “LLMs–CMPs collaboration for clinical decision-making to promote guidelines implementation in Chinese medicine”. Building on these studies and the Centre’s core research areas, Dr. YU and Ms. MA held in-depth discussions with attending experts and explored themes and projects for potential future collaborations.

The GIN 2026 Annual Conference will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 15 to 18 September 2026, under the theme “Guidelines for All: Bridging Tradition, Technology and High-Value Care.” Colleagues from the Chinese EQUATOR Centre have submitted abstracts and look forward to sharing our latest research findings with experts worldwide.
